Do you feel in conflict with your own Self, fighting to control your emotions, and experiencing frustration with them? Do you get the sense that who you truly are inside, is not the person who is living your current life? Trauma and societal pressures can mask our authentic selves- and it is my job to help you uncover that person. As a therapist, I help you with actionable strategies for reaching a sense of alignment in yourself and your relationships.

I take a collaborative and curious approach that highlights your strengths as we work through fear or other emotional obstacles. We’ll always go at your pace, and acknowledge any feelings of discomfort that typically accompany change as you broaden your tolerance for emotional experiences. The clients I typically work with are courageous, creative, and want to use self-knowledge to lead a more fulfilling life.

I draw mainly from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an experiential method that is evidence-based and can include attachment work. I work with adults, adolescents, families, and couples of all identities and sexual orientations on the topics of anxiety, self-worth, trauma, communication, sexual and intimacy issues. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Learning and Organizational Change with a minor in Psychology from Northwestern University, as well as a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. I attend supervision with Samantha Arroyo, LCPC.

Therapy can be a regular touch point that supports the changes you're making in your daily life. While we cannot predict each session, there will always be space to laugh, cry, breathe, and slow down while listening for what is needed next.
