Our Mission

We provide individual, relationship, family, and group therapy to our communities in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Florida through an anti-racist, culturally humble, relational, and strengths-based lens. Grace Therapy and Wellness Center How the Process Works

What our clients say

Read why people love GTWC.

Grace is an outstanding therapist. She is kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, patient, and invested in my growth. I have worked with Grace for over two years. She helped me during our weekly meetings together, but also gave me tools to take with me to help as I navigated tough changes in my life. I’m grateful for her wisdom.

Grace Therapy and Wellness Center is a beautiful private practice full of social justice-oriented therapists who strive to create a safe environment for you, your partner, and your family. GTWC contributes to the health, healing, and well-being of all that walk through their doors. Their level of professionalism is superb, and the quality of their work speaks volumes about the competency and kindness of their therapists. Highly recommend this practice.

In a highly trying time for clients to find good care quickly, GTWC has been a steadfast go-to referral for our practice. With an array of highly trained clinicians, we feel confident sending people their way. It is refreshing, too, to see another practice so dedicated to issues of social equity and dismantling oppression. Grace believes in and lives these tenets wholeheartedly, and it is clear in how her practice functions. Thanks for all you do, GTWC.

I have had a fantastic experience with this practice. I go here for individual and family services and love both of my clinicians! Individual communication with each clinician has been prompt and clear, and both have been flexible to reschedule when I reach out in advance. Pricing structure is fair; I do have in-network insurance, but their cash rate is comparable for the industry in Chicagoland. Business communication has been clear as well, and any changes or updates have been well explained. Huge shout out to the quality of staff, and an extra nod to Alejandra and Maia. Would recommend both of them, but given the quality of care I've received, anyone at this practice would treat you well.

Grace is incredible. I’ve been seeing her for several years now, and she’s truly helped me build confidence in myself and showed me how to compassionately care for myself through difficult times. She’s connected me to a ton of resources, and sessions with her have proven to be invaluable to my growth in so many areas of my life. I’d definitely recommend her practice to anyone seeking trauma-informed, intersectional, and identity-affirming care.

Grace has been a blessing in my life. She has and still continues to positively impact not only my relationship with my husband, but my relationship with myself and others. She is very professional, attentive, open, curious, and there is never a feeling of judgment. Without a doubt, working with her has been one of the greatest decisions I’ve made.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get matched with a therapist?

To achieve this, it would be necessary to have uniform grammar, pronunciation and more common words. If several languages coalesce, the grammar of the resulting language is more simple and regular than that of the individual languages. The new common language will be more simple and regular than the existing European languages. It will be as simple as Occidental; in fact, it will be Occidental. To an English person, it will seem like simplified English, as a skeptical Cambridge friend of mine told me what Occidental is.

What are my payment options?

We accept most Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth & Humana plans. Fully licensed therapists also accept United/Optum.

If you have one of these insurances, we will provide you with information to help you verify mental health coverage with us and obtain information about your deductible, coinsurance and/or copay.

Given the various health plans available, deductibles, coinsurances and copays vary greatly among clients. Authorization from your insurance must be obtained prior to treatment and we will assist you with this process. Please select your insurance coverage on the drop down menu of our contact form.

What if I want to self-pay or am out-of-network?

Although we are contracted with the insurances above, our services may be partially covered by other insurance plans. Please contact your insurance carrier and check the possibility of being reimbursed for out of network behavioral health services. Our service fee must be paid in full ($140-$160) at the time of service and we will provide you with a weekly superbill, but you will be required to file the claim information necessary to receive reimbursement through your insurance. Please select “Self-Pay or OON” on the drop down menu of our contact form.

Can I get matched with a therapist if I have no insurance or have Medicaid?

If you do not have health insurance or have Medicaid, you may be eligible for lower-cost self-pay therapy based on your self reported current household income, number of dependents, and ability to pay. Our interns currently accept BCBS Community, which is a Medicaid plan. Fee per session with our licensed clinicians ranges from $80 to $130, and is available on a rotating basis to those with less than $3500 a month in a single income home or less than $6500 a month from 2 incomes. Please select “Sliding Scale” on our dropdown menu if you would like more information on our sliding scale options.

Do you offer a lower fee?

We have an amazing team of clinicians-in-training who are able to provide quality, professionally supervised therapy on a scale of $10-80 a session. Anyone is welcome to be treated by our clinicians-in-training, including those with insurance, although we can only bill BCBS PPO and Community for our interns (all other insurances would be out of network). Please select “Low Fee” on our drop down menu to be connected with this option.
