“Through fostering trust and comfort with my clients, I can prove there is someone who will not only assist in healing, but advocate for them against an often unreliable system.”
My therapeutic approach is one that centers client strengths. I believe that individuals seeking intervention need a safe space to be validated in their experiences, as the power of focusing on one’s potential rather than their downfalls is so easily overlooked. I operate with the recognition that people are often products of their environments, therefore patterns of behavior can be determined by circumstances. This work relies on consideration of systemic influences and social determinants of health.
I specialize in supporting those who struggle to process complex trauma of the past, those with strained relationships to their loved ones, and those who face substance use disorders. Our collaborative dynamic will allow you to uncover your strength within, empowering your ability to heal from wounds long unheeded. I cultivate an environment of humility, directness, guidance, and goal-setting.
I am a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Illinois. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University. My supervisor is Gabriela Betancourt, LCSW.
I hope to reach those who have been disappointed by therapy in the past by reinventing the idea of service provision. Through fostering trust and comfort with my clients, I can prove there is someone who will not only assist in healing, but advocate for them against an often unreliable system.
