Counseling Intern

Alex sees clients Virtually

(She/Her)

My mission is to help clients feel truly seen and empowered as they clarify their values, strengthen their coping skills, and develop a deeper sense of self-compassion.

It is my privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate the challenges and transitions of life. In our sessions, I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel safe to explore your experiences, practice new skills, and move toward the life you want to live. My approach integrates Humanistic, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and a person-centered perspective to meet each client where they are.

I am passionate about working with high-achieving professionals who may be navigating stress, identity exploration, perfectionism, or major life transitions. I also have a special interest in supporting musicians and creatives in building resilience and cultivating wellness in demanding environments. My mission is to help clients feel truly seen and empowered as they clarify their values, strengthen their coping skills, and develop a deeper sense of self-compassion.

My identities and experiences as a multiracial, queer woman and professional musician inform my perspective and the way I hold space for clients. I bring warmth, curiosity, and cultural humility to the therapeutic relationship, and I deeply value the courage it takes to step into therapy.

I am currently completing my Master’s in Counseling at Loyola University Chicago and am currently an intern at Grace Therapy and Wellness Center supervised by Samantha Arroyo, LCPC. I hold previous music degrees from Northwestern University and the Cleveland Institute of Music. In my free time, I enjoy video games, playing with my dog Barry, and enjoying the wonderful city of Chicago with my partner, Sam.
